IHEC Executive Committee

Oversight of IHEC is provided by an Executive Committee (EXEC), constituted of individuals nominated by the IHEC Funding Members. 

A key responsibility of EXEC is to discuss IHEC policies and guidelines, and revise these as issues such as technological improvements arise.  EXEC works closely with the International Scientific Steering Committee (ISSC) on these matters.  EXEC regularly tracks data deposition, data quality, and data accessibility across projects.  EXEC is the key decision-making body within IHEC, and provides a forum for the discussion and resolution of any conflicts, should they arise. All official IHEC communications, including those with the broader public, are approved by EXEC.
