European Commission has published the first work programme and calls
December 18, 2013European Commission has published the first work programme and calls for the health, demographic change and wellbeing challenge societal challenge of Horizon 2020 for 2014/15 a few days ago. Horizon 2020 is the EU Research and Innovation programme with nearly €80 billion of funding available (€7 billion for Health) over 7 years (2014 to 2020).
- The societal challenge ‘Health, demographic change and wellbeing’, will involve two calls in 2014 and 2015, with a budget of €549 million in the first year. The first deadline for health (PHC) is on March 11 2014, average project size: 4-6 million. The deadline for point-of-care diagnostics (ICT) is on April 23 2014, average project size: 2-4 million.
