The laboratory of Dr Aniruddha Chatterjee at the Dunedin School of Medicine, University of Otago joined IHEC as Associate Member in 2018.

The lab combines cutting edge next-generation sequencing, computational analysis, and experimental work to decipher the role of epigenetic modification, focusing on DNA methylation and cellular phenotype in disease, particularly in cancer.

Apart from supporting the pipeline development for integrated epigenomic dataset analysis,  Dr Chatterjee and his team will  contribute to experimental design, providing samples, cell lines and data as appropriate for large-scale IHEC-associated studies. Further, they provide cutting-edge epigenomic technologies such as methylation editing using CRISPR and single cell methylome analysis.
